Aubrey 28 Months!

Happy 28 Months Aubrey Lynn!

28 Month Highlights:
-We took advantage of some early March gorgeous weather and ate brunch outside, went to a new park, and just enjoyed weekends as a family!

-We celebrated Easter over a couple of weekends which was a ton of fun. We first went to the Holly Springs Annual Easter Egg Bash where you were so excited to meet the Easter Bunny. Once we got there, you were a little hesitant to sit on his lap, but as soon as Bella climbed on up, you just followed suit. You absolutely loved the easter egg hunt, and ask to do that almost daily at our house!

*You both LOVED the shuttle ride back to the parking lot. As if it were the coolest ride you've ever been on : )

-The following weekend we went to Woodstock's version of an Easter Egg Party and it was fun but definitely more chaotic. Next year we will probably just stick with the Holly Springs one. We did have fun going with the Leflers and Vegas though.

Sleeping: Bedtime is still sometime around 7:30 and 8pm but you usually don't fall asleep til 8:30, sometimes 9. You sleep until about 7 am or so, and your clock wakes up (AKA we come get you) at 8 am. You just play happily, not necessarily quietly (!!), most days, in bed or in your room until that time.

You nap around 1:30 and sleep for anywhere from an hour to 2.5, but most days it's about 1.5 hrs.

Eating: You are definitely growing into a meat lover, but still don't eat vegetables unless I sneak them in somehow. You have a huge appetite these days and usually have a bowl of cereal (cheerios, bran flakes and/or cinnamon bunnies) or oatmeal with berries for breakfast, followed by second breakfast of runny eggies, turkey bacon and toast. You love pasta with meat sauce, chili, hamburger, black beans and quinoa/rice, avacado, cheese (mostly gouda), squeezies, greek yogurt with jelly, strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries when they are not sour.

Aubrey Loves:
-Making people laugh and being silly
-Being outside, running around, scooters, flying kites
-Playing at the park, swinging
-Helping mama plant flowers
-Coloring, drawing, painting
-Playing with baby and her stroller
-Playing dress up
-Reading, you are loving your "reader" books, Paw Patrol, Princess Sofia, Pete the Cat and the Bedtime Blues, and Dora books lately

Aubrey Hates:
-Not being able to do something independently...angry elf definitely comes out!

28 Month Stats:
Height: 34 in (25th percentile)
Weight: 24.5 lbs (about 10th percentile)

*Wearing 2T clothes, with some 18 month things still thrown in there. Wearing size 4 or 4.5 shoes.

24 Week Bumpdate!

How Big is Baby: the length of an ear of corn! On average, about 12 in long, and 1 1/4 lbs

Weight Gain: + 0 in the last two weeks, so +6.5 overall

Workouts: Week 22 not a single one. Week 23: two prenatal yoga videos, and 2 prenatal HIIT workouts.

Maternity Clothes: Loving my maternity stretch jeans, regular leggings, comfy jammies, and oversized sweatshirts, t shirts and dress shirts for now. Also super grateful for hospital issued scrubs as my work attire!

Belly Button: Certainly getting flatter!

Sleep: Little rough in this department lately, although some of that is to blame on my girls, and some on pregnancy. Both girls seem to rotate who will wake up one night, and then I have such a hard time going back to sleep! Some nights it takes about 45 minutes, other nights it's 2 or 3 hours of being wide awake. Makes for some really sleepy days!

Cravings: I consistently crave sushi, the real pregnancy-unfriendly kind Add to that list super cold beer or champagne (I think it's just the bubbles I'm craving). : ( Also been craving Indian food but we haven't been able to find any near us. Otherwise no real strong cravings, except for all things unhealthy. Loving caprese salads, tuna sandwiches, pizza, creamy soups with crusty bread, cheese and charcuterie boards, fig bars every morning, and

Aversions: Nothing I absolutely can't eat, but grilled chicken never sounds good. I'm also noticing that I have a bit of a lactose sensitivity lately and it really does numbers on my stomach after I have milk products which stinks b/c I love cheese and milk these days!

What I Missed: Probably just the cravings that can't be filled above.

Symptoms: In the last week, the gas has gotten really bad. Heart burn has started. Lower back pain has intensified. And pregnancy insomnia, oh pregnancy insomnia!

Movement: Lots of it but still nothing that other people can feel on a regular basis. He feels like he does a whole lot of tossing and turning and flipping around, and less hard punches and kicks.

Gender: It's a BOY!

Best Moment this Week: Getting to hear baby boy's heart beat at his 24 week appointment today. He was doing flips and summersaults in there, and his HR ranged from 140 to 180s because he was a crazy child! I was also told today that a VBAC isn't completely off the table which is new information (from a doc I haven't seen before). So now just trying to decide if I want to go down that route again....

Worst Moment this Week: It was a REALLY rough week at work this week which was physically, mentally and emotionally exhausting which made days off equally so.

What I am Looking Forward to: My chiropractor appointment this afternoon with a massage!

22 Week Bumpdate!

Happy 22 Weeks Little Lerma #3!!!

How Big is Baby: The size of a spaghetti squash

Weight Gain: +1/2 in the last 2 weeks, so +6.5 overall.

Workouts: Week 20 I did absolutely nothing. Week 21 I did one prenatal yoga. That's what working extra will do to me.

Maternity Clothes: I can still wear my regular "fat jeans" but they are definitely getting more snug, so I stick with my two stretchy maternity jeans. Otherwise wearing regular shirts and dresses still.

Belly Button: Still innie but getting more shallow!

Sleep: Overall well, but daylight savings stinks! Going to sleep around 8:45 or 9 most nights, and waking up once usually to pee around 3 or 4. Some nights I have a hard time falling back asleep for about an hour. Other nights I go right back to sleep, until about 6:30 am or so.

Cravings: Sushi. Lox, cream cheese and caper breakfast sandwich or bagel. Mac n cheese. Kombucha. Sparkling water. Ice cream. Chocolate.

Aversions: Nothing I absolutely won't eat.

What I Missed: Margarita with our mexican sunday dinner. Still craving (but not consuming) ice cold beer!

Symptoms: Very sporadic, very mild nausea. Sore, full boobs. Tiredness but getting much better. Peeing a lot more frequently. Lower back pain.

Movement: More and more every week! Love it!

Gender: It's a BOY!

Best Moment this Week: Getting through working full time hours two weeks in a row. Three 12's in a row used to be standard, but I'm not cut out for that at my age, at 22 weeks pregnant, and with two little ones at home anymore! Whew, exhausting!

Worst Moment this Week: Probably being in the midst of the above : )

What I am Looking Forward to: Warmer spring weather and getting outside more. Just want to be active with the girls outside and not feel obligated to squeeze in an official workout, when I don't feel like there is enough time during the day!

Aubrey 27 Months

This past month has been a blur! I'm not even sure why entirely. Perhaps it's because it has been cold and rainy and kind of dreary. Or perhaps because it's just a short month (thank you February for not even holding my child's monthly birthdate : ). Either way...

Happy 27 Months Aubrey Lynn!

27 Month Highlights:
-You are a little monkey and love to climb on us, or wrap your arms and legs around our legs for a ride. It cracks us up and you just giggle away!

-You are my little errand buddy when Isabella is in school. We go grocery shopping, just for fun shopping, to parks, and occasionally out to lunch which you of course love.

-You LOVE wrestling with your sister or Daddy and inevitably most times despite being smaller, you end up on top!

-By far the biggest highlight of the month was a family vacation to Navarre Beach, FL. You got croup the day we left, and the entire family ended up getting sick at some point on the trip, but it was a great vacation overall with warm, sunny weather, lots of time spent on our own beach, and a great house! You and Isabella shared a room which meant you kept her up way more than she's used to not sleeping, but overall you both did great. You are OBSESSED with the beach and loved everything about it. You love building sand castles, running in and out of the water, and finding seashells. You ask almost daily when we are going back. My little beach baby!
Poor sick baby, you actually slept 45 minutes in the car on the way down to the beach. About 45 more minutes than I thought you'd sleep!

You played hard, you slept hard!

Sleeping: Bedtime is taking longer these days and/or we go up a bit later so it's usually around 8pm when we leave your room. You play in bed with your stuffed animals or read some books (AKA rip them all apart...urgh!) until about 9 on most nights, and then you tuck yourself in and sleep until 6 or 7 am. The days you wake up at 6 you usually go back to sleep from 6:30 til a little after 7. Then you play quietly (or not so quietly sometimes) in your room til your clock wakes up at 8am.

You nap around 1:30 or 2pm, anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours. Most days it's on the shorter side, but twice a week you will give us a good long nap.

Eating: You are still picky but you are going through a major growth spurt and say "I'm hungies" ALL.THE.TIME. You still spit out every single vegetable I make you try (which is pretty much every single day). You will dip carrots in hummus to lick the hummus off, but there isn't much carrot consumption there.

Favorite foods: Yogurt squeezies or plain greek yogurt with jelly, fruit squeezies (but you are VERY picky about flavors), cheddar bunnies or rockets, cheerios and bran flakes for breakfast, oatmeal with berries, pancakes, mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, pasta with parmesean cheese, runny eggies with turkey bacon and toast (which you have almost daily for second breakfast!), & ham and cheese.

Aubrey Loves:
-Being outside, running around, scooters, playing with a ball
-Playing at the park, especially swings
-Bubbles
-Reading
-Her baby and stroller
-Coloring
-Play dough
-Bathtime
-Playing with her doll house
-Having tea parties
-THE BEACH! She's asks daily when we can go back!
-Her seashell she found at the beach...she carries it around everywhere

Aubrey Hates:
-Being told no by anyone other than Mama or Daddy, she immediately cries!
-Not being able to do something independently or what Bella is doing

27 Month Stats:
Height: 34 in (approx 30th percentile)
Weight: 25 lbs (approx 15th percentile)

Wearing 24 month and 2T clothes, 2T panties. Size 3 diapers with sleep. Size 4 or 4.5 shoes.
