Happy 28 Months Isaiah Jae!

28 Month Highlights:

- The highlight of this month was going on vacation to Hilton Head, SC. Initially we were booked to go back to an amazing house in Gulf Shores, AL, but hurricane Sally closed the entire island down and we had to find another place the day before we left! Whew! It all worked out in the end, and it was a great family trip!

-You loved swimming, and weren't afraid to put your face in the water and blow bubbles! You loved floating around in the little shark ring!

-First time on the sand....not a fan : ) Good thing you got over it quick, because you loved it the rest of the trip!

-We had a Labor Day bonfire with the Leflers. Fun time!

-You are seriously rocking out potty training! Very few accidents if any these days! You like to sit backwards, which we don't complain because there is no spraying outside the toilet!

-Family Saturday mornings are fun! All pile on the bed and watch a show!

-Camp out trunk or treat this year, with you being the graham cracker, Aubrey the marshmellow, and Bella the Hershey bar

-You love your Mimi!

-We had a fall festival at Tia's house where we made caramel apples, did a little craft and ate a good chili and corn bread dinner!

-Fun fall nights eating dinner on the patio

-We walked around downtown Woodstock to look at all the Pumpkin heads and fun signs. You LOVED it!

-Sweet siblings!

-Mama's a sucker for matching PJs!

-You and Austin are best buddies! Fun to see your little friendship

-Fall baskets! 

Sleeping: Big change this month! You transitioned to a toddler bed! And you have ROCKED it! We trialed it out on vacation, with you sleeping on a twin mattress in the big walk in closet. The night after we got home, we transitioned your crib to a toddler bed and you were SO excited! You were excited to have a pillow, and a bed! You truly have done awesome in it! Otherwise no changes in bedtime or naps these days. 

Eating: You are truly a toddler when it comes to eating. One day you love guacmole, the next, how dare we serve it to you! You love eating fruit, cheese and "crunchies" (veggie straws, annies cheetoes, almond crackers). You don't love most animal protein or any veggies. 

 

Isaiah Loves:
-Cars, trucks and trains
-Balls
-reading books
-Making animal noises...and you are so realistic when it comes to them!
-Playing outside, swinging on your tummy, and going down slides
-Playing hide and seek with sisters
-Helping Mama with the "bawk bawks" (chickens)
-Singing, and all things music
-Fav songs: Baby Shark, Wheels on the Bus, Twinkle Twinkle, Un Pequeno Dedo
-Cocomelon songs
-Paw Patrol, Hello Ninja
-Paw Patrol figurines
-Bouncy house

Isaiah Hates:

 -Not being able to go outside
-Going potty when it's inconvenient to him (almost always!)
-Being told no
-Not being able to do something sister's are doing

28 Month Stats:

Height: 35 in (about 25th percentile...not sure I did this correctly)

Weight: 24.5 lbs (about 7th percentile)

*No new teeth, still waiting on all 4 two year molars
*Wearing size 2T clothes with some 18 month pants and shirts in there (lots of 2T pants are way too big for you)

*Wearing size 5.5 or 6 shoes 

Isaiah's Firsts this Month:

-You are slowly and surely improving your vocabulary! "Cuuu" (cute), "Paw" (pops), "Au" (Aubrey), "Baba" and Mama all the time : ) Lots of Dada's! Up, Down, Help, "pees" (please), poo poo (which he calls pee and poop), "oww" (outside), shoes, bar (snack bar), ball

-You learned to count and can get up to 6 no problem, you can get to 10 but mix some of those upper numbers up

-You are learning colors, and for now, have assigned a family member to each color. Mama red or pink, Dada blue, Pops green are the most consistent ones.

Isaiah Jae 27 Months!

 Happy 27 Months Isaiah Jae!

***apparently I totally forgot to take a pic...and here we are 1.5 months later, too late!*** 

27 Month Highlights:

-We had a homeschool playdate. So nice having 2 other buddies your age so close to us!

-We got a bouncy house (early) for Aubrey's birthday and you LOVE it! You jump all over and love to dive bomb right down the slide. 

-Family park day...you really did enjoy it, despite refusing to smile

-Mama was trying to take pics to sell some "baby" things and you didn't want to let this one go! 

-Tia watched you for 2 days while Mimi was on vacation and Mama taught homeschool. You had a blast playing with EL!

-Mimi watches you and Austin one day a week together and you both love it!

-You like to sneak into Bella's 1st grade homeschool whenever you can. you think it's fabulous. Bella thinks you are very distracting. Hard to see why when you are non-stop movement and making noise!

-Patriots Day - wear red white and blue!

-Crazy boy with Mama's slippers (as a kid), paw patrol undies and a back pack : )

-More homeschool fun! 

Sleeping: You are still a great sleeper, although this month you woke up many nights around 2 am crying for less than a minute. You didn't need us, and worked it out. i wonder if you were teething? Bedtime is around 7:30, but lately you haven't been falling asleep until sometime between 8 and 8:30. You wake up anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30 most days, but you play happily in your bed until 8:15 or 8:30. Nap is around 1:30 or 2 and you usually sleep about 2 hours. 

 

Eating: No big changes this month. Still loving to snack. Not loving vegetables. 

Isaiah Loves:
-Being outside, running around, playing on the swingset
-Trains, cars, anything with wheels
-Hello Ninja cartoon
-Paw Patrol
-Taking baths
-Reading
-Water table, water buckets, water guns, anything water outside!
-Singing songs and listening to music
-Reading/singing Car Car Truck Jeep on repeat!

Isaiah Hates:

-Being told he can't watch Hello Ninja : )

-Not being able to do something sisters are doing

 -scootching down the stairs...you want to walk all by yourself...no thank you!

27 Month Stats:

Height: 34 in (about 15th percentile)

Weight: 24 lbs (about 5th percentile)

*No new teeth, still waiting on 2 year molars

*Wearing 2T clothes and jammies, and 5 or 6 shoe
*Wearing size 4 diapers at naps/bedtime 

Isaiah 26 Months

Happy 26 Months Isaiah Jae!

"Smile Isaiah!" CHEESEEEE

26 Month Highlights:

-We had a family swim day with the Harts. You loved the water!

-Miss Alaina gave you a ride on airplane and you are OBSESSED! You love riding it super fast all around the house!

-You're happy place is being outside, and you love the swingset. You've just climb right up the ladder and go down all the slides by yourself now!

-You also LOVE "playing" the piano! You are truly fascinated, and want to sit at the piano almost daily for a bit. Of course you also love to turn OFF the piano while sister's are practicing, which they don't appreciate at all : )

-Right after you turned 25 months, you wanted to poop on the potty most days. Mama wasn't concerned at all about trying to potty train you at this point, but if you wanted to poop in the potty hallelujah!!

-We had a family day at Poole's Mill Bridge park which had a cool little water fall slide. You mostly liked to wade in the shallow part at the base on the waterfall, but a few times towards the end would slide from about halfway up. We had a picnic lunch afterwards. 

-HUGE new highlight is you all out threw a fit a few days before you were 26 months because you did NOT want to put your diaper on in the morning after you had pooped on the potty. Mama was definitely not prepared for this, so grabbed some of Aub's underwear and we gave it ago. I would be lying if I thought it was going to stick, but you have done SO well!! Way to go buddy!

Sleeping: Still a rock star sleeper! Bedtime is 7:30 and you sleep about 12 hours but happily play in the morning until we get you! Nap is around 1:30 and you sleep about 2 hours most days. Putting you to bed is a TRUE JOY! You get so excited for nap and bedtime, and just love bedtime routine, and actually going to bed! SO grateful for that!

Eating: You are a bigtime snack lover! The pantry may be your favorite room in the house : ) Overall you are a good eater though, so we can't complain. You don't eat many veggies, but can throw down potatoes. Favorite foods these days: granola bites, z-bars, squeezies, cheese sticks, blueberries, strawberries, yogurt cups and yogurt squeezies.

Isaiah Loves:

-Trains, cars, anything with wheels

-Balls

-Coloring

-Hello Ninja TV show

-Riding his bike

-Playing outside, playing on swingset

-Eating lots of snacks!

-Reading, favs include Car Car Truck Jeep, Where Do Diggers Sleep at Night, Llama Llama Nighty Night

-Playing hide-n-seek with sisters

-Running around the house chasing sisters with push toys and ride on cars 

Isaiah Hates:

-Being told no

-Not keeping up with Sister's

-Thinking sister's are taking something

26 Month Stats:

-Height: 33.5 in (approximately 10th percentile)

-Weight: 25 lbs (approximately 10th percentile)

*No new teeth, just waiting on your 2 year molars

*Wearing 18 mo-2T clothes, size 5 shoes

*in size 4 diapers

-New words: Finally saying Dada consistently! Also loves to say "Yee Haw" and YEAH! Repeating sounds we say so much more, including yes mam, thank you, please (peeeease!!), and of course pee pee and poo poo.
