Isabella is 3 Years Old!

Happy, happy birthday to my big girl, my 3 year old. The one who made me a Mama. The one who can make me laugh, cry and and get frustrated all in a span of 3 minutes : )  The one who is a Mini-Daddy and yet has a little bit of Mama and Mimi sprinkled in.  

The one who is sensitive, affectionate, loving, and empathetic. The one who cries when Aubrey cries. The one who rushes to the aid of anyone needing help. The one who will happily say "Sana sana" over boo boos. The one who wouldn't surprise me one bit if you become a nurse when you grow up.

You have certainly grown, matured, and changed over this last year.  You are light-hearted, silly, and love to make us laugh.  You will say silly things, giggle at yourself, and say "I'm just kidding Mama, I'm just being silly." 

You love to dance and sing more than anything else.  You love to grab your microphone (or anything resembling one), and get up on your stage (AKA: our fireplace) and put on a show.  Sometimes you ask us to sing along. Sometimes you say "No Daddy, let me sing." Either way, you always have a *strong* opinion about it (See, I told you there was some Mama sprinkled into that personality!).

Isabella, we are so grateful that God gave you to us. You are our sunshine when skies are gray.  You light up the room when you are in it, and are a true joy to be around.  I want to capture your sweet laugh in a bottle and save it for all time.

We had lots of park days this month...until this happened at the park! 

She wasn't happy about the cast...

Until she realized she could pick pink...and then it was all smiles and giggles! 

 "Pink to match my bow and my shirt and my cup. Pink is my favorite color!"

 And of course afterwards, she got to go to a restaurant (b/c that's another favorite thing to do!) - so she picked "EIEIO" for the very first time (AKA Mc Donalds). The guy taking our order felt so bad she had such a big cast, he gave us a free ice cream sundae! Isabella was in heaven!
