Aubrey 27 Months

This past month has been a blur! I'm not even sure why entirely. Perhaps it's because it has been cold and rainy and kind of dreary. Or perhaps because it's just a short month (thank you February for not even holding my child's monthly birthdate : ). Either way...

Happy 27 Months Aubrey Lynn!

27 Month Highlights:
-You are a little monkey and love to climb on us, or wrap your arms and legs around our legs for a ride. It cracks us up and you just giggle away!

-You are my little errand buddy when Isabella is in school. We go grocery shopping, just for fun shopping, to parks, and occasionally out to lunch which you of course love.

-You LOVE wrestling with your sister or Daddy and inevitably most times despite being smaller, you end up on top!

-By far the biggest highlight of the month was a family vacation to Navarre Beach, FL. You got croup the day we left, and the entire family ended up getting sick at some point on the trip, but it was a great vacation overall with warm, sunny weather, lots of time spent on our own beach, and a great house! You and Isabella shared a room which meant you kept her up way more than she's used to not sleeping, but overall you both did great. You are OBSESSED with the beach and loved everything about it. You love building sand castles, running in and out of the water, and finding seashells. You ask almost daily when we are going back. My little beach baby!
Poor sick baby, you actually slept 45 minutes in the car on the way down to the beach. About 45 more minutes than I thought you'd sleep!

You played hard, you slept hard!

Sleeping: Bedtime is taking longer these days and/or we go up a bit later so it's usually around 8pm when we leave your room. You play in bed with your stuffed animals or read some books (AKA rip them all apart...urgh!) until about 9 on most nights, and then you tuck yourself in and sleep until 6 or 7 am. The days you wake up at 6 you usually go back to sleep from 6:30 til a little after 7. Then you play quietly (or not so quietly sometimes) in your room til your clock wakes up at 8am.

You nap around 1:30 or 2pm, anywhere from 1 to 2.5 hours. Most days it's on the shorter side, but twice a week you will give us a good long nap.

Eating: You are still picky but you are going through a major growth spurt and say "I'm hungies" ALL.THE.TIME. You still spit out every single vegetable I make you try (which is pretty much every single day). You will dip carrots in hummus to lick the hummus off, but there isn't much carrot consumption there.

Favorite foods: Yogurt squeezies or plain greek yogurt with jelly, fruit squeezies (but you are VERY picky about flavors), cheddar bunnies or rockets, cheerios and bran flakes for breakfast, oatmeal with berries, pancakes, mac-n-cheese, hot dogs, pasta with parmesean cheese, runny eggies with turkey bacon and toast (which you have almost daily for second breakfast!), & ham and cheese.

Aubrey Loves:
-Being outside, running around, scooters, playing with a ball
-Playing at the park, especially swings
-Bubbles
-Reading
-Her baby and stroller
-Coloring
-Play dough
-Bathtime
-Playing with her doll house
-Having tea parties
-THE BEACH! She's asks daily when we can go back!
-Her seashell she found at the beach...she carries it around everywhere

Aubrey Hates:
-Being told no by anyone other than Mama or Daddy, she immediately cries!
-Not being able to do something independently or what Bella is doing

27 Month Stats:
Height: 34 in (approx 30th percentile)
Weight: 25 lbs (approx 15th percentile)

Wearing 24 month and 2T clothes, 2T panties. Size 3 diapers with sleep. Size 4 or 4.5 shoes.

20 Week Bumpdate!

We are officially past the halfway mark, and I can confidently say past it because my scheduled c-section will likely be near 39 weeks. Either way, I'm grateful to be here and feeling great! Loving this part of pregnancy!

How Big is Baby: The size of a banana, approximately 10 inches long, and 10 oz!

Weight Gain: +3.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks, thank you vacation over-eating! Puts me at +6 lbs overall.

Workouts: Week 18 I didn't get a single work out in other than a bunch of walking and stair climbing at work, because we were just crazy busy. Week 19 I got a nasty cold that knocked me out for several days, so I just got in a 3 mile walk/run and a 40 minute kayaking session while on vacation.

Maternity Clothes: Loving my maternity stretch jeans and otherwise regular clothes.

Belly Button: Innie

Sleep: Overall sleeping well, and usually getting about 8 hours a night. Not quite as exhausted as I was several weeks ago, but bedtime is still around 9 or 9:30 most nights.

Cravings: Aside from eating anything and everything unhealthy while on vacation, not having strong cravings. Although I really have been wanting some good Indian food, but that's probably because it's been almost a year since we've had any! Still on the search for a place near our new home town!

Aversions: Some things don't sound great at times, mostly meat and chicken, but I eat them if they are being served and it's fine. Nothing that I totally can't be around.

What I Missed: Margaritas on the beach, white wine on the balcony in the evenings on vacation, and an ice cold beer after kayaking!

Symptoms: Occasional bouts of nausea that aren't that bad, and usually don't last long. Definitely more tired than non-pregnant self, but getting my energy back. Really sore boobs. Insanely dry eyes where I can't wear my contacts at night anymore, and have to wear glasses during the day once or twice a week.

Movement: Definitely feeling it more and more which is amazing! He's definitely not as active as Aubrey was, so perhaps that's a sign he will be a bit more chill than her!? Or is that just wishful thinking!? Also, both girls were most active at night when I laid in bed, but this one is so super chill then. He's most active in the morning, or mid-day.

Gender: BOY!

Best Moment this Week: Being on vacation with the family

Worst Moment this Week: All of us being sick on vacation. BIG bummer!

What I am Looking Forward to: We get our 20 week anatomy scan this week which I'm really looking forward to, and have another high risk appointment at the end of next week which usually involves another US. Love seeing this little guy!

18 Week Bumpdate!

Hello 18 weeks! This is the FUN part of pregnancy that I just absolutely love! I can't wait for the belly to keep on growing!  But I'm absolutely loving that the most horrible parts of first trimester are behind me, and the awesome, now looking pregnant and feeling the baby move consistently part is here!

How Big is Baby: The size of a bell pepper

Weight Gain: +0 in the last 2 weeks, so +2.5 lbs total.

Workouts: Week 16 I did a 25 min HIIT spin "class" in our home gym (thank you youtube for making me feel like I was really in that class!) followed by 20 min leg workout (followed by difficulties in walking the next day!). I also did 2 Prenatal HIIT workouts via Nancy Taylor (again, YouTube) who I am loving more and more.
Week 17 I went RUNNING! Yay, and oh it felt SO good! I went 2.5 miles, and it took almost 13 minutes a mile with having to push the stroller and walk up the steep inclines, but wow, how I've missed it! I also did a 50 minute spin class, and then on the 3rd day that I planned on working out I hard core cleaned the house instead. No regrets there.

Maternity Clothes: Sticking to my normal scrubs at work, regular clothes, and the addition of the most amazing stretchy maternity skinny jeans ever (that I talked about last bumpdate).

Belly Button: Innie

Sleep: Mostly good in the sleep department, with the exception of needing to pee about 12 times right before I fall asleep. Usually falling asleep sometime between 8:45 and 9 most nights, with a couple nights not til 9:30. Waking up sometime between 6 and 8 on days I have to work! So yeah, getting lots of sleep!

Cravings: Ugh, this pregnancy I am just craving all things not healthy: bagels with cream cheese, ginormous pickles, puffy cheetoes, cereal with milk, pizza, creamy soup with crusty bread, and charcuterie. And then there are the random days where I'm like "Ohh, I could really go for some fish sticks!" (where on earth does that one even come from!?!).

Aversions: Chicken still makes me gag when I think about it, but I can still eat it as long as it's not just like a big hunk of chicken breast on my plate. Or I eat around it : )

What I Missed: Ice cold beer. This has been a very consistent one.

Symptoms: Still having some mild intermittent nausea, but nothing to really complain about. Periods of dizziness.

Movement: YES!!!! Little Lerma's little flutters are now like full on pops and are much more consistent! And the best part - at 17 weeks, Jon could even feel them! AHHHHMAZING!

Gender: BOY!!!

Best Moment this Week: Feeling baby boy move more and more, and letting Jon feel it as well. Also getting an impromptu US at work to see the little man!

Worst Moment this Week: Feeling so forgetful. Like if it's not written down and I haven't set an alarm for it on my phone, I will forget! This isn't anything new this week, but just getting frustrating!

What I am Looking Forward to: Our family vacation to Florida over break! Also our anatomy scan in a couple weeks! Love that one!
